My grandmother “Granga” made BBQ sauce during the Depression Era out of love for
her children. She wanted to provide them with something they wanted but could
not afford to buy. What she made was so wonderful that everyone preferred her
sauce over anything they could purchase. It was out of love that she taught me
to make the sauce. In her own way she nurtured me in nurturing others through
our preparation of food. She knew that I would continue to provide her family
with the BBQ sauce she created long after her physical presence ended. Now it is
out of that same love that I share our BBQ sauce with you and your family. My
only hope is that you enjoy it as much as we have and that it contributes to
memorable times and traditions.
